₹6,000 + crore loans disbursed in first quarter in Salem
Loans worth ₹6,712.41 crore have been disbursed within the district in the first quarter of the fy 2022-23, stated collector s. Karmegam
In a evaluate meeting with bankers at the collectorate, mr. Karmegam said the salem district had 488 banks in operation – 228 branches of nationalised banks, 159 private banks, a hundred and one cooperative banks – and tamil nadu grama banks. Thru those banks, ₹6,712.41 crore became allotted as loans in the first quarter of the current fiscal.
“of the ₹950 crore in centered loans for women self-help groups, ₹262.60 crore were allotted. Likewise, via tamil nadu adi dravidar housing development corporation, ₹4.88 crore was focused to distribute as subsidy, and of that amount, ₹3.35 crore in subsidy turned into disbursed. Through district industries centre, ₹seventy two lakh mortgage have been focused to be dispensed beneath uyegp scheme of which ₹65.77 lakh have been dispensed. Likewise, beneath the pmegp scheme, ₹8.40 crore and ₹6.35 crore below the desires scheme had been allotted as loans,” mr. Karmegam pointed out.
The collector advised the banks to provide loans for marketers and training loans for students. The district management was always geared up to cooperate with the banks, considering the economic improvement of the public. For the financial 12 months 2022–23, a complete of ₹15,130 crore become to be furnished as loans through diverse schemes, the collector added.
